Forehead Tattoo

In our modern world, the art of tattooing can be seen absolutely everywhere and on people from all different elements of society, young and old, male and female. No longer is there any stigma attached to having a tattoo however some areas are still somewhat taboo to all but hardcore tattoo enthusiasts and this includes a forehead tattoo. There are several reasons one may choose such a design, whether it is simply because you are daring enough to be that different or just want to look ultra-hard!  Believe it or not, there are actually some smaller designs that really look quite cool such as a few tiny stars tattooed on one side above the eyebrow or down the side of the forehead. However, many tattoos of this kind look downright weird but that seems to be the intention in some cases so read on for some totally freaky ideas.

An Indian gentleman in his sixties, is trying to reach the Guiness book of records by having the flag or every country in the world tattooed somewhere on his body. Not surprisingly, he is running out of space and has now six tattoos on his face alone with a view to fitting sixty more forehead tattoos featuring flags of around one inch each. In the US there has been a rise in demand for patriotic tattoos, particularly since the devastating events of September 11th, 2001. Therefore, it is not unusual to see young men, and older ones too, walking around with “God Bless America” tattooed prominently across their foreheads. Realistically, this could be covered up with bangs at a later date, assuming the young men in question don’t go prematurely bald!  One American woman actually got goldenpalace.com tattooed across her forehead however she was paid $10,000 to do so and claimed she did it to fund her kids through school.

Within the prison systems in some countries a forehead tattoo can take on much darker connotations. In Russian, these have a distinct bluish color and the lines often appear blurred due to the lack of proper equipment used to create them. To make the ink, these inventive inmates burn the heel of a shoe then mix the soot produced with urine before injecting it into the skin with the likes of a sharpened guitar string on an electric shaver. While this may seem a rather severe method, bare in mind that tattooing in prison is not always voluntary and is often used to stigmatize or punish those individuals who are deemed the lowest of the low in prison ‘society’ such as sex offenders and child-killers.
